GARD is a research group that builds the scientific evidence to overcome dementia — with data.
Mission
As the population ages, dementia places a growing burden on individuals and society alike. GARD follows participants from before symptoms appear and integrates clinical, genomic, brain-imaging and biospecimen data to clarify the causes and progression of dementia and to build the evidence for early diagnosis and prevention.
The accumulated cohort data are managed under strict research-ethics and privacy principles, and contribute to overcoming dementia through domestic and international collaboration and data use.
